Usual BAKERZIN Dosh
Menotti@Raffles City
Today, we converged on Menotti.
Place:
We did discover that the back door of Menotti led into the Esprit boutique. Excellent for satiating your shopping addiction on the way to the washroom. Quite odd. While the place was a little empty of people, the dim interior made for a slightly relaxed atmosphere even if the lighting made the food a little hard to see...
Menu/Fare:
Pastas are delicious, although I found my Penne to be a little too OVER GARLICIZED. It would appear the Italians like their pastas with generous amounts of sauteed sliced garlic.
Gelato is the reason Menotti exists. I personally have never seen Ice-cream done like this. Swenson, you are pawned. Sinfully sweet and delicious, it was too beautiful to eat. See?
Service:
Huh? What service?
The waiters look smart with a PDA in hand to take orders. After that, you never get to see them again. (They have to go and charge the PDA after every order)
Conclusion:
Ok la. Great place. Not too bad. Just brush up on the service. Rating not given as our Taitai council have yet to convene.
Stay tuned...
